Dr. Vijay Patel graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill Medical School in 1994 and completed his Family Medicine residency at Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, NC in 1997. He is board certified in Family Practice. After residency, he practiced in the Triangle area at Kaiser Permanente, Scott Medical Practices. He helped revamp their practices and start new facilities in Raleigh, Cary and Durham.
As a 15 year veteran of the Triangle Medical community, Dr. Patel believes the best way to cultivate and maintain the doctor/patient relationship is through the small, traditional doctor owned practice. He has been in solo practice since 2003. His practice strives to provide comprehensive, efficient and effective medical care while ensuring the highest quality of individualized care available.
Dr. Patel’s Staff
Jessica (ext 2#) - As Front Desk Coordinator, Jessica handles the patient scheduling, demographic and medical chart maintenance.
Amber (ext 3#)- Amber checks in the patients, answers clinical questions, schedules all outside specialist referrals, and addresses all concerns re: testing, referrals and visits, medication refills.
Tove -Tove has worked with Dr. Patel since 2003 with all aspects of the practice. Currently, you will spot her filling in for other staff and silently screaming about insurance and billing. She is also available to help the patients with the transfer of records and general concerns.
